The Bambird Scramble was created to solve a very old problem: people love Mahjong, but it’s not always easy to find a game when you want one.

A Scramble is a flexible, community-driven Mahjong ladder that allows players to connect, schedule games on their own time, and build meaningful local Mahj circles — without rigid league nights or pressure. It works best when it’s led by someone who already loves bringing people together around the table.

We’re currently welcoming interest from Mahjong teachers, organizers, and natural community-builders who believe in growing the game thoughtfully and locally. If you have an engaged Mahjong network, enjoy hosting or teaching, and are excited about creating more opportunities for people to play, we’d love to hear from you.

This form is simply the first step in a conversation. We review submissions on a rolling basis and thoughtfully partner city by city to ensure each Scramble feels personal, well-supported, and true to the spirit of Mahjong.
